Kashayams, otherwise known as Kwatha or Khada, are decoctions made by aqueous extracts of herbs. Like most other Ayurvedic medications, Kashayam is also an ancient form of medicine used for a long time. They are prepared by boiling a specific group of herbs in 16 times the quantity of water and are then reduced to half.
