Ghrithams are manufactured by processing Cow’s ghee as a base with an assortment of Kwathas and Kalkas. A portion of this ghee is processed with 4 times the amount of the recommended Kwatha and 1/4 amount of Kalkas and handled at a controlled temperature while continuously processing the combination. This is done until the Ghritham gets the Samyak Paka Lakshanas as recommended in the course books of Ayurveda. Ghritams for ages have been proved beneficial for skin disorders, liver, digestion and blood purification.
